Executive Committee
The Elected Officers of the HHS shall constitute its Executive Committee. This Committee shall carry on the business of the HHS between board meetings and report its actions to members at monthly meetings, as well as at the AGM.
President
The President shall have executive supervision of the activities of the HHS within the scope provided by its by-laws, shall preside at all meetings of the HHS and the Board of Directors, and shall report on the year’s activities of the HHS at the Annual General Meeting.
Vice President
The Vice President shall assume all presidential duties of the HHS in the event of the incapacity, absence, or resignation of the President. The Vice President shall also recruit, manage, and train volunteers.
Secretary
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the HHS and of the Board of Directors and shall manage the documentation, filing, and correspondence for the HHS.
Treasurer
The Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the HHS and its Board of Directors and shall provide balance sheets and financial statements to members at monthly meetings. The Treasurer shall also create an annual budget for approval at the AGM.
Communications
The Communications Officer shall maintain the public face of the HHS through regular updates to its website and social media pages. He/she will create artwork and graphics as needed, as well as edit text for accuracy and continuity.
Curator
The Curator shall be appointed by the President on the advice of the Board of Directors, without term, and may be a member of the Board of Directors. The Curator will receive and catalogue items belonging to, or on loan to, the HHS, and shall attend to their proper and secure display, storage and maintenance.
Researcher
The Researcher shall be appointed by the President with the advice of the Board of Directors, without term, and may be a member of the Board of Directors. The Researcher shall manage inquiries to the HHS by individuals and groups.
Members-at-Large
Members-at-Large are HHS members who don't hold defined positions within the Board of Directors. They serve as general board members without specific portfolios. They attend the AGM, monthly meetings, and vote on resolutions.
