Francis Store

115-1 - Francis's Store, photo taken in 1909. The store was established in 1878 by Frederick Henhurst Francis. The store was on Portage Avenue at the top of Manitoba Street between 1878 and 1965. when it was destroyed by a fire. 

115-2 - Second generation of owners of Francis's Store. They operated the store between 1895 - 1944. They are Johanna Francis (nee Tait) mother, Lester Francis, father, and the children, Helen, Lionel, Fred. 

115-3 - In the late 1940s Francis's Store was sold to co-owners Catton / Hall - they named the store Headingley General Supply.
