Copp, Jim - Jim lived all his life in Headingley, he served in the army with the Irish Fusiliers from 1942 - 1945. He was employed with the Manitoba Government Department of Public Works for 27 years. Jim passed away in 1979.

In 1993 Heart of the Continent was a 3 day event including many games and activities for all ages. The highlight of the event was the Prairie Dog Central train trip from Charleswood to Headingley. Both Sunday trips were sold out.

Esso oil set up warehouse and gas pump at Portage Ave & Elevator Road. Hans Angel looked after these facilities plus his garage on Roblin.
